If you’re from Delhi, you know this side of the university isn’t exactly one, with colleges scattered all over the region. But we’ve picked out the best of the best, close to all the cool colleges. Ironic to its name, this café is gaining popularity not just for its extensive range of food items but also the not-so-usual dining approach. The entire staff is deaf and mute (yes! The entire staff) which breaks the barriers of speech and language. But now how to communicate with them? Scribe your order on a notepad and press the light switch beside your table. It signals the staff that you’re ready to order. For additional requirements, just use the placards of the same placed alongside the table. Isn’t that really smart? Echoes’ must tryout dishes are chicken lasagna, oreo shake, chocolate sundae & fried chicken.

If you’re in near Hauz Khas, this place is a must visit. It has a serene picture perfect view of the Hauz Khas fort and lake. The ambience is peaceful with a bit of quirk attached to it. Remember the movie ‘Tamasha’? This is the place where Deepika found Ranbir in the shot. Divided into 3 stories, the place is a hotspot for every genre of people whether they want to work peacefully or just have a ball with their company. Their fusion food is what curates a mystery among the foodies out there. As for ‘what’s to drink’ quest, do try their mind numbing shots like Dawa Daaru, Item Bomb or Above & Beyond. If you’re a street food lover and currently running on a budget, this place is definitely the best option for you. The place attracts people from all corners of the city despite the lack of seating area. Their tandoori momos are what everyone goes gaga about. Served with a spicy yoghurt based gravy, these are by far one of the best momos in town. What else to try? Give a shot to their kathi rolls, momos, shawarma and other Chinese variants. We do recommend their chilly chicken roll apart from the signature momos. [Image: foursquare.com]
