6 trends we are dying to wear this summer!
If we’ve understood anything after a few months of freezing winters, it is that there is nothing better than spring. And to our joy, spring is just round the corner, happy tears alert!
It’s officially time to swap your bombers with those sun dresses, and shorts and call it a season to rejoice. And while you might look towards upgrading your wardrobe with new trends, we’ve compiled a list of all things that are going to be big on the fashion scene.
1. Puff sleeves
If 2018 gave us anything, minimalism wasn’t one of them! It was a time when maximalism took over, and became fashionable even. And going by that, 2019 promises to do the same! Puffy sleeves are the kind of fashion we’ve longed to wear. They are not just statement makers but can give all the drama in your life, a run for its money (pun intended!)
2. Animal Instincts
In case you haven’t caught on yet, animal print is a big deal. You can let out your inner jungle cat and pair it up with bold colours or maybe wear it all-over. Either way, it is the easiest way to look chic and fashionable at the same time.
3. Boiler Suits
If practicality and comfort is your key to fashion, then you’re in for a treat. Hail industrial dressing, because they’ve bought boiler suits to the forefront. It’s effortless dressing at its peak and your easiest way towards high street fashion. Even though going to the loo would still be an issue, but who ever said fashion is easy, right?!
4. Lavender tones
Even though ultra violet was the pantone colour of 2018, a softer take from the same colour family is what caught the eyes of fashion stars. From coats to dresses, the lavender shades took over and how! It was not just feminine but universally flattering, which made it even more fun to flaunt.
5. Utility pants
This is the new "ugly” trend that is basically going to replace your denim jeans in the next few months. Their voluminous size and conspicuously placed pockets had us divided, but from the looks of it, this trend is here to stay. To rock it for yourself, just pick a colour that suits you best, and pair it with a fitted top and complete the look with sneakers.
6. Biker shorts
Hail Kim K for getting everyone on board with this trend. This is one trend from the archives that has already made a comeback, and is Kardashian approved! The easiest way to wearing them is to find a pair that suits your height. And once you’ve cracked that code, it’s all good from there. Pair them with basically anything, and you’re off to fashion heaven!
