The Theme of Met Gala 2019 was CAMP : Notes on Fashion, which delivered a lot of over-the-top, wild, red carpet moments!
1) Deepika Padukone playing the "Glam Barbie"
The gorgeous Deepika Padukone played the Real life Barbie in the Met Gala 2019. Wearing designer "Zac Posen’s" creation with jewellery from Lorraine Schwartz, and styled by Shaleena Nathani, she completely slayed this look!
2) Kylie Jenner in Lush Lavender
Kylie Jenner opted for a Versace Lavender feathered naked dress with a matching wig to complete her look. Spotted with sister Kendall Jenner and beau Travis Scott, Kylie grabbed a lot of eyeballs with this over the top look!
3) Kim Kardashian nailing the "Wet Look"
Kim Kardashian opted for a "Wet", See-Through look for the Met Gala 2019. Her look was inspired by the vintage picture of actress Sophia Loren. Wearing designer Manfred Thierry Mugler’s creation, she truly owned the entrance!
4) Cardi B in Full Glory!
The queen of over the top appearences, Cardi-B, slays in a custom Thom Bhowne creation. This anatomical down filled dress, layered in tulle and organza with twists, ruffles, gathers, rubies and dyed coque feathers took about an estimated 2000 hours to create. Styled by Kollin Carter, this look was extravagent at it’s best!
For this year’s Met Gala, Priyanka Chopra Jonas decided to "camp” to the likes dramatic Dior!
Hand- in - hand with her husband Nick Jonas, she eclipsed almost everyone with her gown that came with feather and thigh - high slit, with a metallic cape, paired with embellished gloves and stockings. However it was her dramatic makeup and that Afro curls topped with a caged crown of sort that took it to the next level.
6) Lady Gaga and makeshift changing room!
Dramatic equals Lady Gaga, there we said it. For this year’s Met, Gaga out camped everyone with transforming the red carpet into her personal changing room. She stripped, changed and posed like a pro, wearing a huge fuschia dress that peeled off, layer by layer, ending the show in a glittering bra and underwear set, with huge platform shoes.
7) Katy Perry brought her own “light” to the red carpet!
Singer Katy Perry walked the red carpet wearing a chandelier dress the brightened up the Met like none other. Created by Jeremy Scott for Moschino, the dress was the "light” of the MET.
8) Jared Leto and his severed head!
The suicide squad actor, Jared Leto was another attendant that stunned everyone at the Met by carrying his own (fake) head. Dressed in a red caftan with jewel loops, he came cradling his long-haired macabre version of himself.
