5 Hot-From-The-Runway Hair Trends That are Totally Wearable
While all eyes are on the clothes that are sashayed down the runway, each fashion week also serves as a trendsetter for makeup and hair. But aren’t those supremely dramatic? Well, almost always. But every once in a while we come across trends that can totally be aped in a non-fashion week setup. From edgy ponytails to romantic floral hairdo’s, we bring you five hair ideas from the Winter Festive’18 edition of Lakme Fashion Week, that are real-life chic and easily wearable.
The first show from day 5 had the models sporting a caged twist on a ponytail. The hair was roughly pulled back straight into a low pony and then wrapped in string from top to bottom. Perfect for when your hair is behaving badly and you don’t want it up in a bun.
There’s an exotic magnetism that turbans possess. This boho-chic accessory took over the ramp for Ka.Sha and Yadvi Agarwal’s show. Paired with a beautiful kaftan by day or a lush robe by night, a turban can be that one statement accessory to make you a head-turner wherever you go.
Braids and Ribbons
Only if you live under a rock will you not know that ribbons and scrunchies are the biggest hair accessories this year. Paired with braids and knots like these that we saw at The Third Floor Clothing’s show, this look is pure love.

What better than going back to nature with current conversations on slow fashion. Floral accessories went a step ahead from gajras and hairbands for the #KhadhiGoesChic show. From covering one side of the head to being halo-esque, the models sported ditsy floral arrangements. We’d totally wear this look with soft waves and a breezy dress on a relaxed weekend.
Messy and Tousled Buns
While the slicked back, centre parted hairdo’s are still doing the rounds, this season was all about, tousled and messy buns. Yes, they’re back and how! So the next you just don’t feel like being all prim, you know it’s alright!
