The Wedding Lookbook #BFFEdition

Published Date : 08-24-2019

Nothing beats the excitement of your Best Friend getting married. You both have done it all – sharing secrets, swapping clothes, crushing on boys! Now when it’s time for her to walk down the aisle, you need to be ready, to be by her side. Make way for the unending parties, hoards of judgemental aunties scanning the crowds for your potential dulha and delicious food. All this along with the fun of putting outfits together for each function. However with the wedding season at our heels, here’s all the inspiration you need. Cue in the band and the baaja!

1. The Bachelorette Party  -

For the ’bachelorette’ night, get your hottest dress on, while drinking and dancing the night away with your bestie! You can opt for this stunning off-shoulder, sequinned gown by Liza Narula. Tie your hair up in a textured ponytail to let your collar bones shine. Keep the makeup dewy, with natural lips and some glitter on your eyes. Don’t forget to accessorize the looks with diamond danglers and you’re all set to have the best time possible!

2. The Cocktail Party
For that high-on-drinks cocktail night, ditch your traditional ensembles and choose this fun, fusion look comprising of this one-shoulder kurta and dhoti pants from Aaina by Aditi. It’s just how you would like your cocktail night to be, the perfect concoction of sexy and sanskari! Ditch those heels and pick up a nice pair of juttis and accessorise the look with statement earrings and a clutch to go with it. For makeup, you can opt for bright bold lips and some soft curls to complete the look.

3. The Sangeet Night
If you’re the not-so-girly girl, who can’t be bothered with handing that dupatta, opt for this dhoti pant and peplum kurta set from Ridhima Bhasin for the sangeet night. Accessorize it with big statement earrings. For makeup go all out with smokey eyes, a sculpted face and a generous amount of highlighter. You can tame your mane with some braids, and with that, you’re all set to dance the night away!

4. The Mehendi Night

Nail the perfect Instagramable look for the mehndi, with this stunning brocade lehenga paired with a flared sleeve blouse. With some hand-painted jhumkas, you can opt for gold juttis to take the look up a notch. For the hairstyle, you can choose to go with a braid and keep the makeup fresh with a hint of green on the eyes!

5. The Shaadi
Are you the one to dance the night away to "Delhi Wali Girlfriend”, pretending to be Deepika having a duet with your Ranbir? Well if you fall in this category, we’ve got the perfect Bollywood inspired outfit for you. This beautiful Banarasi lehenga set from Vanshika & Disha will fit your bill perfectly. Pair this gorgeous outfit with colourful patterned juttis and ditch the usual earrings and choker for a regal maang tika. With a sleek mid-parted bun and some dainty flowers in your hair along with a contoured makeup look, you are all set.
It’s the last function and you’ve got to go down with a bang. Go for this stunning gown (that is as heavy as the load you felt to look your best at your bff’s wedding!). From the ace designer Shantanu and Nikhil, this piece is an art in itself. Known for their stellar drapes and take on contemporary fashion, this tube gown comes with heavy embroidery on the torso. To put an Indian twist to the whole look, we opted for ethnic earrings in gold. With a braided bun and collar bones that could cut, you can be assured to stand out amongst the crowd!

Love Lotus Customized Chooda Cover
These embroidered Chooda covers are the perfect customized accessory for your bridal function. We are in the business of creating stunning handmade wedding accessories and favours, that are done via the art of embroidery or pirohi. What these are: Traditionally, during a bride’s chooda / haldi / bangle function, the chooda is covered with a cloth as it is considered inauspicious for the bride to see it before the wedding. For the same reason, she also closes her eyes when her uncles make her wear the bangles / chooda. We have re-invented this said cloth to make a chic and stunning chooda cover, that is not only personal but also stylish and convenient. Customizations: We would be happy to create custom pieces, with discussion with the bride. In this piece, you can customize the colour, the embroidery colour and the content. Post ceremony use: These chooda covers can also be used to store the chooda whenever the bride takes them. Traditionally, the chooda is worn for anywhere bet
